“The thrill of hope, a weary world rejoices…..”
What an amazing proposition that is put before us as we
reflect on a loving Father that made an entirely new covenant with His Uncreated
Son so He could bring His created sons and daughters into life with Him. He wanted a “house”, a dynasty, a legacy of
sons and daughters that would know His heart, hear His voice, and carry out His
goodness in all the earth so more and more glory would be revealed. As more glory is revealed there is more
revelation of how amazing and good He is.
It’s an ongoing experience and encounter to continue seeing His goodness
through the goodness He releases through us.
It’s a constant returning to joy, being amazed that there is more and
more to be discovered even after all that has already been seen. It’s why there is the announcement to
REJOICE!
The prefix “re” means “again” or “again and again”. The word “joice” means to enjoy or be
glad. That is our connection to
joy. So we are to return again and again
to joy and enjoy Father over and over.
His goodness is causing us to rejoice and the more we rejoice the more
we see of Him which causes us to rejoice.
It’s like the cycle of day after day.
We see one goodness and it then a new goodness dawns. Each December, we reflect on joy because
Father and Son worked with Spirit to bring the reality of love into earth and
defeat deception so we could accurately know Him and understand who we
are. What we have been brought into is
more amazing and there is no end to the wonder and awe it produces in us. Like the moment a child wakes up on Christmas
morning to see all the gifts put under the tree shining in the warm glow of the
lights, we are in awe and fully thrilled to see all Father presents (gifts) us. The thrill of hope overwhelms our
hearts.
