THRILL of HOPE - Day 8

“The thrill of hope, a weary world rejoices…..”

“Until He appeared, and the soul felt its worth.”  His appearing communicated many things, but one of the most significant is that “we matter”.  To not be left in darkness and bound in deception speaks to our value and His love toward us.  We mean enough for Him to be unwilling to allow us to live without a demonstration of His love which simultaneously tells us of our worth.  Humanity didn’t do anything to demand His gift or manufacture His love.  It was His good pleasure to love us and do what was needed to free us from a wrong view of Him and a wrong view of ourselves.  He couldn’t allow mankind to perceive Him as angry or condemning, but wanted to be sure we understood He is loving, merciful, full of grace, and is happy not mad.  We are not His enemy.  Many may perceive Him as their enemy, but He is not against us.  He wanted us free and to end the slavery of shame and guilt that resulted by us going our own way.

“Chains shall He break” is a powerful statement of truth as the revelation of His love breaks the hold of deception, self-hate, guilt, shame, pinning, worthlessness, loneliness, and fear.  It’s an unleashing!  It’s an unveiling of value.  You are worth His pursuit.  You get to feel the thrill of being pursued.  This becomes the unfolding of the truest you.  That which tries to conceal you and restrict you, due to false perception, is undone and unlocks your heart to soar and rise in boldness.  It’s the joy of discovering a life changing treasure.  You become found.  He breaks the barriers and you are like a calf freed from the stall.  You get to go free and feel what love released.

Freedom is more than being able to say what you want.  Freedom is more than being able to go where ever you want.  Freedom is more than a slogan.  Freedom is the product of liberation.  There is no greater liberation than our spirits coming to life and breaking forth into all we can be because hope is here and we feel our worth due to His appearing.
